  1. I haven’t listened to it yet, almost 3 hours long wow! but the 2000th episode is finally here! I started listening to FOF 8 years ago when I was a senior in highschool. I know I was attracted to GLBT media, but other than a few things I came across on the internet, and that TV show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, I hadn’t been exposed to much GLBT media. It was really just by chance that I found this podcast while randomly browsing through iTunes. I had never heard of a podcast before, but once I started listening to FOF I was hooked, this is the only podcast I’ve ever listened to actually.

listening to this podcast over the years I have been exposed to so many amazing stories and so many amazing people, that I don’t think I would have ever learned or heard about on any other platform. I don’t know where I would fit myself into the LGBT spectrum, haven’t quite figured that out yet, but I am grateful for all the things I have gotten out of listening to this podcast.

I may have become frustrated over the handling of that one ~issue~ that has been brought up several times in the show recently, or disagreeing with certain ~ways~ the LGBT has acted in this new wave of social justice and the fight for equality yadda yadda yadda ya, I won’t get into it, but hopefully we’ll get through it, and as long as the FOF is still around everything will be good.

So here’s no many more wonderful years of FOF! Can’t wait for the Cooking With Drag Queens series as well!

  2. Here are some old flyers we used to pass out to promote the podcast:

  3. The last show we ever taped with Miss Ronnie.

  4. Victoria Lamarr’s trip to New York City!

  5. I dug up some of my own Feast of Fools memorabilia, don’t know if you could call them collector’s items by now, maybe the Clay Aiken cum rag? Haha I got that from your guys’s first meet and greet in Austin, I can’t remember where I got the card and button from. I met you guys again twice at Oilcan harry’s the big gay bar in Austin….I think it was twice. It was during SXSW both times I believe….and then there was that time I came to that small get together at that Taco Cabana where I met your momma, sister and niece.

you guys could have easily put in another hour or two talking about the past, there is a lot to cover over a span of 10 years. I did learn some new things though, about the “dark days” in the beginnings of the Feast of Fools, it is unfortunate what happened, but I think you guys are much better off now.

    • Ahhh those are collector’s items! It’s good to grow with you Chix Gal all these years.

Sometimes you gotta remember that these “trial by fire” moments in our lives are all about how we respond to them and help us grow, not how they set us back.

I got a bit teary as you talked about all the great stuff you’ve two have done over the years. I really loved the retrospect of the little musical intros at the start of each episode. I wish you guys another happy 2000 episodes!

  7. Ricardo says:

Great show! I love you guy… Congratulations and hope you go for another 2000 more!

  8. Federico says:

Amazing show! It’s great to listen to behind the scene secrets and past clips!
    Congratulazioni per i vostri 2000 episodi 🙂

  9. three words: WOW WOW and WOW

i loved the walk down memory lane, which got me thinking about how truly appreciative I am to have you guys in my ears 5 days a week (and in my house once in a while).

I laughed, i cried, and i laughed some more! You mean so much to all of us, from the hinter lands where you are the only positive inspriration for the young gays to those of us who live in the gay meccas around the world. I wish i could say i’ve been there since day one (so close!)

    C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

I look forward to 2,000 more!

  10. Congratulations! Felicidades! 2000 shows! Qué bueno! Y muchos más!

  11. You two have been such enjoyable companions over the years, you’ve been my favorite go-to when I’m on the road or need a good pick-me-up during the day. One of my favorite pranks from a while ago was to sneak away my co-worker’s phone and swap his normal ring for Amanda Steinstein’s ringtone, “HEY! YOUR PHONE IS RINGING! ANSWER YOUR PHOOOOOONE!” – it certainly made an impression at his office…

Anyway, thank you for being your unabashedly *fabulous* selves. Other than occasionally wanting to reach out through the internet and slap Fausto for something he said (joking! …maybe…kiss and make up?), the two of you never fail to deliver an extremely entertaining mix of genuine humor, tongue-in-cheek bullshit, serious concerns over real issues, and above all love for what you do that shines through. Mahalo!!! Keep up the good work!

  12. My new favorite episode. Extremely well researched, covered, personal, and evolutionary. To two thousand more (Fausto, try to say that really fast).

  13. shuffler says:

    Congratulations, guys on 2000!

One especially memorable episode for me was your interview with Jason Stuart, an actor I had enjoyed seeing in movies. He seems to be definitely confused what a podcast was, and may have been en route to a tryout during the conversation. He was alternately flattered and vexed by the research you had done. By the end of the interview he had forgotten that he was taking with FOF, but you guys just hung on to his thread of conversation as it pitched from topic to topic. Initially I had shrugged it off to the actor being a jerk, but after rehearing it I was left with the impression of an actor by the nature of his business being self-absorbed and surprised by not being asked canned “publicity-oriented” interview questions that he was use to hearing. It was a new look at someone who was both in and out at different stages of his career.

  14. Finally got to listen to this over the weekend. What a beautiful tribute to two of the hardest working men in media from the past decade. This show only begins to illuminate the passion, talent, and commitment you two bring every day. I was thrilled to be mentioned twice! – (Once directly, once indirectly… 😉

  15. lis says:

Running a bit behind on listening but it was quite a pleasure to hear this episode and go down memory lane with you guys. Congratulations on making it to 2000! Keep up the good work, it’s appreciated. Love you guys!

  16. Tracy Tyler says:

Hey!!!! Thanks for not forgetting about me guys!!! The 2 years that we were close friends were 2 of the best years I’ve ever had. I will always cherish them in my heart. My favorite episode that we recorded was our road trip to Saugatuck, Mi. What a blast flirting with the truckers stuck in traffic and then there was the China buffet on the way home not to mention the crazy drunken nights in the hot tub!!! FUN TIMES!!! I miss you and I love you guys !!! Keep being the shining beacon of light that you are !!! —- love, Tracy Tyler
